Hudson was born in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Academy Award winning actress Goldie Hawn and Bill Hudson, an actor comedian, actor, and musician.Her parents separated when she was 18 months older and she, along with her brother, actor Oliver Hudson, were raised in Snowmass, Colorado, and Pacific Palisades, California by her mother and her mother's longtime partner, actor Kurt Russell.Hudson's ancestry is Italian (from her paternal grandmother), Hungarian Jewish (from her maternal grandmother),and the rest are a mix of English and some German.She was born Jewish; like her mother, she also practices Buddhism.Hudson has claimed that her biological father "doesn't know her from a crack in the wall" and that she considers Russell her father.Hudson has stated that her mother is "the person who I've learned the most from and who I look up to and who has led her life in a way that I can emulate". [14] She has four siblings: Zachary Hudson and Emily Hudson, her father's biological second marriage to actress Cindy Williams; Lalania Hudson and Wyatt Russell, her mother's relationship.
