Richards was born in Penarth (Wales). She was educated at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. After being featured in short films, she was cast in the S4C Welsh language magazine show Mosgito. She also played in short films. Her roles were then prominently played in BBC TV programs Crash and Being Human. 2nd of 2012, she was cast as an executive secretary with an exaggerated English accent in the TV show Breaking In. 3.
