Cynthia Ann Crawford, born February 20, 1966 is an American actress, model and television personality. In the 1990s and 1980s she was a popular supermodel with a prominent appearance on runways and magazines, as well as in fashion campaigns. In the following years she expanded her acting skills and entered business. The sophomore year of high school saw her get an inquiry from a local apparel store about modeling opportunities. Later, she discovered it was a joke call by two of her classmates. The following year, another store employed a group of high school girls, including Crawford and her sister, to do perform their duties (including the fashion shoot). Roger Legel (a local photographer) approached Crawford in her junior year to photograph her. The assignment included the shooting of Crawford to be published in the magazine. [9] She was encouraged to continue modeling based on the favorable feedback and photos she received. She began with an agency with a small size. Elite Model Management bought it shortly after she signed. She entered Elite's Look of the Year contest in 1983 at the age of 17 and reached the national finals.
