Garena has launched it's Garena Professional League (GPL) in May 2012, a 6-month-long professional gaming league that includes hundreds of online games. The first season of GPL is the first online League of Legends tournament with six professional teams. They are comprised of top players from their respective nations. GPL matches and commentaries can be streamed on the internet. Fans can stream these on the GPL website. In January of 2013, Garena announced they would be launching Garena Premier League's second season will begin on the 4th of January, 2013. Garena Premier League, 2013 will have two teams from Taiwan as well as Vietnam. There are eight teams has been expanded to nine. AHQ, Saigon Fantastic Five, Bangkok Titans, Kuala Lumpur Hunters, Manila Eagles, Taipei Assassins, and Singapore Sentinels are the teams. Garena's eSports stadium, a place dedicated to esports in the Neihu District Taipei, opened on the 14th of November on the 14th of November, 2014. The facility opened in November 2014, which coincided with the beginning of the League of Legends Masters Series. The league is the world's premier LoL Taiwanese with Hong Kongese as well as Macau LoL League, which is a spin-off of the GPL. Garena started with the Iron Solari League in January 2015.
